I’ve been researching on behalf of months now as a consequence finally clear on the samsung a550 series. I just got the tv 2 period ago, my first hdtv. I was primarily planning on getting a 46″ however couldn’t find the deal i wanted very i ended up picking the Samsung LN52A550. I was compassionate of nervous due to i’m getting a larger sized tv than planned as a consequence might be overwhelmed with the area (9′ viewing distance). When we got it set-up it was awesome. It was big however not overwhelming. The area was just perfect as a consequence couldn’t be happier. I liked the matte/semi-gloss silver screen because i have 2 big windows behind the couch as soon as in-front of the tv as a consequence no glare position of all even with the blinds unresolved. This is one of the major reasons i opted on behalf of the 550 series. The viewing angles are very nice too due to i have a love seat as a consequence a recliner chair chair on the side of my living opportunity as a consequence it can be undoubtedly viewed without any problems. I didn’t have hd serve yet, very i just hooked up indoor antennas toward select up ota (over-the-air) channels as a consequence the built-in digital tuner picked up both sd as a consequence digital channels as a consequence a bit hd channels. I was watching the nba finals game 5 as a consequence was blown away. I was getting 720p forage from abc hd as a consequence the picture was awesome. I did also comprehend a bit 1080i hd feeds from ota as a consequence it looked bravo. I can’t bide toward comprehend a bit hd channels (dish/cable) as a consequence ps3 bluray with this society. Right now my set-up is ota as a consequence my laptop hooked-up toward the tv very i’m just scratching the tip of the snowberg on the full capability of this tv. The sound is ok if you use one of the amazon reviewers audio settings that i belive was taken from avsforums as a consequence it is really worlds of difference from the default settings. Overall, this is a bravo as a consequence wonderful tv.
